GSEV Technician- Mechanic

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to conduct day to day maintenance and repair work with regards to all types of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• To note down KMS/HRS of the equipments and to inform the supervisor the next service due date
    • To check for any spare parts required and to inform the supervisor
      • To change all types of oil (Engine oil, gear oil , transmission oil etc)
        • To check fuel water separator, fan belt, lights and Fire extinguishers, tyre conditions, hydraulic pipe etc.
          • Helps the senior mechanics in performing all types of jobs
            • To Attend the breakdown calls and repair the jobs with the Mechanics
              • To do daily inspection of vehicles for checking KMS/HRS, fluid, oil etc
                • While not attending the breakdown jobs, to perform any job allocated to them by the WS Supervisors such as disassembly of engines and machinery into component parts and the performance of repairs.
                  • To perform skilled installation of a/c units such as removing unit, filling them with fluid and making electrical connections
                    • Testing of equipment after repair and doing regular preventive maintenance checks
                      • To adjust generators, tensions, fixes evaporator units, drill holes, threads , connect hoses to compressor, evaporator and cool air outlet
                        • To connect wires, soldering power cables checking proximity switches thermal unit, rectifiers etc.
                          • To make request for spare require if any and to collect from stores.
                              Note – The role defined here is not exhaustive, and duties and responsibilities in line with the job function may be added from time to time.

                              Qualifications

                              • Higher Secondary School Certificate.
                                • Formal Training in Mechanical engineering

                                Experience

                                Minimum 4 yrs experience in the mechanical and electrical field
