Job Purpose

Assists the Airline’s CAMO post holder (PH)to define, develop, implement, maintain, and control policies, procedures, manuals, and best practices within the Engineering and/or Maintenance system across the entire network in line with business requirements and in accordance with airline policies and procedures.   

Responsible for all areas related to Continuing Airworthiness of the assigned Hub (Subcontracted CAMO, Contracted AMOs, Engines, APU, Components) 

Ensure the safety, availability, and continued airworthiness of the Airline’s fleet in accordance with respective Civil Aviation Authority and CAMO standards

Key Result Responsibilities

Responsible to ensure that Aircraft Maintenance Program is designed, managed, developed and optimized as per Airline’s operational needs and reliability program, and is always in compliance with the OEMs, Continuing Airworthiness Management Organizations, and other regulatory body requirements. Coordinate with ABY AMP and PH CAMO, ABY & FJL for compliance of the same. 

Evaluate AD / SB / Modifications / STC / Structure repair etc. applicable to Airline’s fleet, compliance of same, and update of the same in AMOS. Coordinate with records section for reporting back of AD/SB/Modifications etc. Ensures approved recommendations and ADs are introduced into the AMP timely and accurately.
Identifies corrective measures and modifications to fix any damages or airworthiness findings, ensures recommendations are introduced into the AMP along with justification and supporting evidence.
Assist CAMO PH in analysis of the effectiveness of the Aircraft Maintenance Programme as required by latest revision of ANO-M 
Coordinates with the ABY Planning Engineers to set programs into action and ensure optimized “AMP” and availability of Airline fleet. 

Coordinate with AMP ABY team for induction of all new aircraft ensuring necessary liaising with the Regulator for the approval on the same. 

Review of maintenance forecast as per AMOS and coordination with ABY planning and coordination of compliance of the same from AMOs. 

Reviews and evaluates that work packages are in line with the operational needs ensuring cost-effective maintenance planning is always achieved with no compromise on safety measures and standards. 
Prepare all aircraft C of A renewal documents at their frequencies for submitting to Civil Aviation as per existing regulations and requirements. 

Assist PH CAMO in the review of Airline’s CAME as per the timeline and subsequent revision approval from Civil Aviation. 

Responsible for assessment of reliability parameters and corrective actions and timely issuance of Reliability reports
Monitoring of Engine trends, oil consumption for deterioration, plan necessary maintenance actions and implement the corrective actions as required in consultation with ABY Propulsion to facilitate cost-effectively control.
On day-to-day basis supports the engineering maintenance, this would include, performance review, analysis of requests, management reporting, corrective measures, and necessary modifications.

Liaises with/ provides support to parties such as OEMs, MCC, ABY CAMO, regulatory bodies on matters related to modification, damage assessments, troubleshooting & corrective actions, and projects. 
Maintain all records as per Company standards and Civil Aviation requirements. This includes aircraft modification record, aircraft Weight & Balance records, repair certifications, damage reports etc and ensures prompt availability of latest Maintenance Data to the contracted AMO.

Utilizes data gathered from different sources to conduct analysis, identify trends, evaluate carried tasks, and decide on the efficiency of Airworthiness Functions, highlights findings to develop cost effective solutions and implement proactive changes.

Assists CAMO PH in preparation for the audit checks and reviews as well as in the closure of occurrence reports and audit findings.

Participate in liaison meetings with respective CAMO PH and or ABY Engineering & Maintenance Team
Any other task/ project assigned by Line Manager or ABY Engineering & Maintenance Team

Key Result Responsibilities - Continued

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft/Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Aircraft Licence alternately a higher diploma or certificate in a relating field from a recognized university or engineering college combined with needed experience and exposure. 
  • Training certificates or workshops on “Human Factor” and “Safety” are a must. 
  • Training in Aircraft General Familiarization is a must. 
  • Project Management, Cost Control, Compliance and Budgeting are an added value, and some may be treated as conditional for this role. 
  • Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft suite, MRO systems and Web Search. 
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc. 
  • Fluent in English Language. 

Work Experience

5+ years’ of collective experience in Aircraft Engineering and/or Maintenance in the Aviation industry; On the Job Training (OJT) or post university time spent at an Airline company as a Trainee or in a similar capacity shall be counted for as part of the experience; experience with Airbus 320 aircrafts is highly desirable. 


Experienced in aircrafts airworthiness programs requirements and regulations, such as CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization). 


Very good experience in aircraft maintenance programs systems, software and techniques and their relation to the Continued Airworthiness Program. 
Familiar with rules and regulations of Civil Aviation Authorities, pertaining to the Engineering Maintenance, policies, procedures and manuals. 


Experienced in designing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures and operating manuals as per business needs and in line with adopted regulations and approved quality standards. 


Exposure on the Maintenance Steering Group/3 meetings and discussions is preferred. 


Experienced in measuring performance against regulations, contracts and SLAs of technical nature. 


Skilled in developing and enhancing maintenance programs to optimize productivity and minimize cost. 


Has good exposure and informal training in the aircraft Reliability Programs. 


Exposure to Quality Assurance /Safety/ Audit practices related to and affecting aircrafts continuing airworthiness. 


Proven skills in analysing data, identifying pitfalls and recommending solutions.
