Manager - Planning, Records & Warranty

Job Purpose

To supervise long-, medium-, and short-term maintenance action plans, warranties, and manual and automated maintenance library and record-keeping for aircraft. 
Ensures that all maintenance action plans are successfully completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with GCAA, Air Arabia, adopted procedures, CAMO 
requirements, and other requirements essential to the aircraft's airworthiness program.

Key Result Responsibilities

1. Oversee the maintenance strategy and forecasting for short/medium/long term.
2. Verifies that all associated actions are compliant with CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) regulations, operational demands, and quality 
standards.
3. Oversees the ad-hoc maintenance requirements & ensures to reduce AOG and maintain corporate image.
4. Plans, executes, and completes at least 98% of the intervals between planned events using the tools, database, and resources available in order to maximize 
utilization and minimize maintenance costs while taking operational limitations and labor availability into account.
5. Oversees system for tracking and documenting aircraft hours and cycles.
6. Ensures that all data, documentation, manuals, and certifications are promptly and accurately updated, published, disseminated, and archived both manually and 
on systems in accordance with established standards and processes. 
7. Ensures system is maintained to prepare and archive all work packages and job cards for the entire fleet and Third-Party aircrafts types of routine and non-routine 
checks.
8. Ensures cost-effective utilization of resources, systems and tools.
9. Ensures all warranty documents issued by the Aircraft Manufacturer/OEM’s & Vendors are reviewed.
10. Ensures database of all services contracts with the corresponding warranties are maintained; check the list of things in unserviceable rooms to ensure that warranties or claims are implemented as necessary.

Key Result Responsibilities - Continued

11. Observes the on-wing inspection/rectification to build successful claims; engages in other workgroups whenever specific in-depth expertise is required to contest 
the declined warranty claims. Coordinates with Finance on the settlement of claims as per adopted procedures. 
12. Identifies high-valued, frequently utilized consumables that qualify for warranty remedies to be routed to U/S bay; constantly negotiates with suppliers to obtain 
FOC (Free of Charge) replacements.
13. Collaborates with Hubs to discover possible cases for warranty claims.
14. Keeps technical and contractual knowledge up to date. Maintains professional relationship with all warranty teams at OEMs, Vendors.
15. Co-ordinates with Finance team on the settlement of claims as per adopted procedures.
16. Scrutinizes heavy maintenance check package for the NRCs raised and identifying and taking appropriate action by generating warranty claims.
17. Monitors the overall performance of warranties / guarantees/modifications (including engines, APUs, components, aircraft defects, etc.) to ensure that eligible 
ones are timely claimed and successfully settled as per contractual commitments.
18. Oversees day to day warranty team and support in addressing queries from External Internal stakeholder.
19. Provides direction, coaching & guidance to team members for their career & professional Development.
20. Create a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.  
21. Manages performance of respective teams through objective setting, continuous support, feedback, and formal reviews to ensure business objectives are met; 
Ensures conflict management, grievances handling, disciplinary issues are handled effectively in line with company procedures.
22. Perform additional task as assigned by Line manager.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Aircraft/Aeronautical /Aerospace /Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. 

Work Experience

10+ years’ experience in the Aviation industry, 5 of which in aircrafts maintenance planning, technical records & aircraft warranties or in a similar capacity, experience with Airbus A320 aircraft is preferred.
