E-Business Executive

Job Purpose


To assist in the creation and management of the e-commerce for the entire network; suggest and execute improvements in terms of visual appearance, consistency, usability, traffic and online sales.

Assists in the execution of the company’s e-mail marketing campaigns ensuring productivity is in line with set measures and company’s adopted policies and procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities


  • Creates and implements, the website pages and banners; caters for promotional messages to suit the Air Arabia network commercial requirements received from the different countries.
  • Cooperates with Marketing &Corporate Communication and Revenue Management teams to ensure productivity is within approved budget and set measures of branding and corporate image.
  • Assists in evaluating the usability of the website and reviewing highlighted issues/areas of concern, suggests initiatives to increase traffic, improve conversion rates, increase on-line sales and enhance customers’ experience.
  • Coordinates with external agencies and suppliers, verifies website content information, and mobile channels; maintains an up-to-date database to refer to in initiating E-mail marketing campaigns and messages.
  • Coordinates with Air Arabia Country Managers and suppliers to ensure function-related projects delivered are as per set objectives and cover targeted customers.


  • Monitors the website pages and content translation ensuring consistency in information and messages delivered without compromise on the branding standards approved.
  • Assists in implementing AB testing to evaluate website usability.
  • Supports in monitoring the IBE (Internet Booking Engine) performance and recommends/implements changes, modifications and upgrades to enhance customers’ experience and present user-friendly services, ensuring no technical problems on IBE for all hubs.
  • Assists in the implementation of search engines optimization projects to improve the website ranking through content creation, links building and other SEO techniques.
  • Monitors online sales channels (website, mobile applications...) and produce regular function related reports as well as Ad-hoc reports as required.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Bachelor degree in digital marketing/affiliate marketing or equivalent.
  • Capable of using technology systems and tools; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Work Experience

  • 1-2 years of working experience in a similar role for a high traffic website preferably in aviation industry; experience with low cost airline is a plus.
  • Previous experience maintaining websites and managing e-mail and SMS campaigns.
  • Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying pitfalls and recommending solutions.
  • Product knowledge: capability of understanding market trends and behaviors and translating them into innovative initiatives and solutions.
  • Detail oriented and meticulous in executing tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
