Job Purpose

To organize end-execute processes for aircraft component close loop repair and component MRO management to deliver on time and cost-efficient support to aircraft maintenance. Administer In-house repairs and other local repairs in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Monitor all unserviceable components/Nil stock on daily basis from the system/ from Stores/ Material Planning.  Accord priority to the related repairs to avoid AOG situation due NIL stock.
  • Assist Repair controller and coordinate dispatch team and Create repair orders with all details; RO are released to the MRO and components are sent through our dispatch team to appropriate MRO location. This shall be in accordance with the existing component support agreement (TCM). 
  • Track component movement and ensure timely delivery to MRO shop.
  • Review open orders on daily basis; Monitor Shop TAT and ensure components are turnaround in the agreed TAT. Follow up with the MRO if there is any TAT delay.
  • Collect performance data and assist preparation of  MIS reports.
  • Any delays and exceptions in the process, escalate to the CRE and line managers.
  • Identifies and collaborates with the team to improve the existing process through automation and effective use of systems.
  • Assist in establishing  the Repair Process area for unserviceable components/repairable to ensure effective utilization of space, time, and safety standards for packing and onward shipments of spares for repair/overhaul to the external vendors.
  • Monitors and review  over & above (O&A) costs to minimize such costs.  Challenge MRO on the additional repair quotations and negotiate with proper data backup.
  • Administers the In-house repair. Maintain good communication with internal workshops, Maintenance Planning, Procurement and Technical Services to effectively manage processes. Provide use cases for in-house building for repair to reduce cost and time for repairs.
  • Identifies and advises cost-saving opportunities in the repair and procurement process.
  • Closely coordinate with Repair administration to ensure spares are dispatched in time to achieve better TATs (Turn Around Time).
  • Organizes and coordinate shipping and logistics of aircraft parts, engines / APU to suppliers for repairs.
  • Coordinate schedule component removals. Ensure timely availability of components based on MRB/AMP requirements and timely return of unserviceable parts.
  • Monitor under process spares at Repair area awaiting disposition to ensure rigid monitoring of unserviceable items.
  • Coordinate with the Repair Controller for items identified for disposal as per SOP. 

Work Experience

Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical engineering/ LAME with 3+ years relevant experience/Technical Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
