This position is on the payroll of goCozmo, which is a group company of Air Arabia Group.

Job Purpose

  • To grow and manage the commercial & operational requirements across the assigned territory ensuring successful performance in sales and operations.
  • Develops, executes action plans and working procedures, monitors performance of staff and systems, identifies and resolves problems;
  • Drives the teams to achieve objectives by maximizing sales, operational efficiency, enhancing profitability and brand’s visibility ensuring productivity is in line with set measures and company’s adopted policies and procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Acts as the ultimate accountable to CEO for P&L of travel related organisation in the assigned country and achieving the commercial and operational objectives.
  • Plans, organizes, directs and controls the operations of travel related organisations to achieve operational efficiencies.
  • In consultation with CEO, directs and coordinates the financial activities in the assigned country to ensure its on-going viability as a business.
  • Conducts research into new products and destinations for business growth and development, often by travelling to them an experiencing first-hand the services available. Makes recommendations to CEO with supporting analysis and business justification.
  • Defines the tactics and action plans that serve for increasing sales, maximizing profit and market share within the assigned area.
  • Builds/maintains rapport with stakeholders, key customers, trade companies and other agents in the respective region.
  • Manages the assigned human, financial, and physical resources effectively in order to ensure they meet service standards and that the respective functions are meeting agreed KPIs and objectives and effectively cater for business requirements. 
  • Ensures compliance of all regulatory & statutory requirements for operations the assigned country including personnel and contractual matters. 
  • Coordinates and directs the activities of staff, overseeing not only the day-to-day tasks but the hiring, training, and evaluating of staff members as well.
  • Proactively leads and reviews the performance and progress of the assigned teams; sets of objectives, and targets; spends time coaching team members, identifying skills and opportunities for development; provides advice and guidance on all concerned issues. 

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Business Management, Commerce or equivalent.
  • A diploma or degree in Tourism or management is an advantage
  • Additional qualification: Financing/Project Management/IT/MIS/IATA/ICAO is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)- Internet, LinkedIn, and Web Search.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, business writing, presentations, and reporting skills etc.
  • Fluent in English and Arabia languages is a must; other languages are an advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a management role, in a reputable travel agency within Egypt is a must.
  • Retail travel sales and management experience handling GDS, IATA & BSP Regulations, Inbound & Outbound Holidays is preferable
  • Proven and successful ability to lead a team towards growth in enhanced sales volumes and enhanced revenue generation.
  • Proven sales and marketing abilities, operations management skills, such as establishing work plans and objectives 
  • Meeting sales targets and maximizing profits
  • Ability to communicate at a senior level while managing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Planning and organising skills; Risk management skills are an asset
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills; Human resource management skills are an asset.
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
