Job Purpose

Conducts analysis, evaluates and improves IT processes to ensure effective product discovery, development, operations and support functions whilst complying with applicable laws and regulations. Ensures organization is kept aware of the processes and generates documentation of new,existing processes and improvements, forecasts expected results of process changes, analyzes implemented changes and makes further adjustments to workflow, schedules or other processes as required.
 

Key Result Responsibilities

Builds and manages an effective process for governance and compliance office to include policies, and processes based on international standards eg. Agile, CMMi, ITIL, ISO27001 as well as legal and regulatory requirements e.g. PCI DSS, GDPR, ensuring all are rightly adopted and adhered to.
Develops and implements a compliance strategy and recommends appropriate control processes ensuring all are in line with ISAs objectives, sets measures and information control requirements and steps.
Oversees the process improvement implementation process by working with managers, team members and other employees to ensure that the plan is clear and can be applied quickly and efficiently.
Studies, analyzes and designs the business requirements, evaluates existing business processes, flowcharts, manuals and other documentation outlining current practices.
Monitors environmental and market trends and pro actively assesses impact to business processes, advises necessary processes and workflow in collaboration with experts in other functions e.g. legal, technical support, architecture.
Assesses existing processes to ensure that they are producing the desired outcomes. Assembles data and studies ways to make improvements, cakes changes to steps in each process as needed to adjust improvements to reflect better results in production, cost reduction and other targeted outcomes.

Key Result Responsibilities-Continued

Acts as the main custodian of documentation and process library for entire ISA including SDLC Software Development Life Cycle and Operations Life Cycle.
Studies and technically facilitates the development of document management system and outlining writes documents that explain changes and how to implement them.
Implements an effective training and awareness program to ensure that all stakeholders internal and external are familiar with relevant processes and adopt these as applicable in their job roles.
Collaborates with line managers and trainers to ensure effective training is provided aligned to identified requirements, and improvements tracked and policies.
Provides regular reporting on the effectiveness through tangible and actionable measurements.
Carries any additional duties as directed by the Head of Department,CEO.
 

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering ,Computer Science, MCA,MCS or equivalent.
Certification relevant to IT Governance e.g. CISA, CGEIT are highly desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English language.

Work Experience

10 or more years of experience in process governance, 5 of which heading the function for an enterprise, experience with Airline industry,products is preferred.
Experienced in setting up and successfully maturing process governance and compliance offices hands on creative and innovative ways to improve business processes.
Familiar with all phases of project management, able to work with people of diverse backgrounds, understands quality control concepts.
Experience in successful running of CMMI, Agile and ITIL programs.
Knowledge of diverse business processes in a wide range of industries is a must.
Expert in designing, developing, and improving documents such as policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, process outlines, flowcharts and training manuals.
Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying pitfalls and recommending alternate solutions.
Effective problem solving and decision making skills.
Detail oriented with sharp eye and high accuracy.
Employs technical expertise, and interpersonal relations to execute achieve companys objectives.
Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
