Job Purpose

Designs and develops IT infrastructure architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards Manages the infrastructure operations including those hosted within ISA data centers and or externally hosted or with cloud service providers

Key Result Responsibilities

1. Develops specifications for new IT infrastructure products and service offerings Assesses the compatibility and integration of products services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies
2. Performs technical planning, analyze architecture and modification of specifications in line with operational needs and in coordination with the Development team as required
3. To successfully implement the infrastructure action plans policies and standards that consider ISA and its clients business requirements for capacity operations and security
4. Manages business applications, infrastructure and devices from design UAT testing and deployment perspectives Advises other ISA teams and business on application infrastructure related matters eg licensing backups disaster recovery etc
5. Explores and assesses new and emerging hardware software and communication technologies methods and techniques recommends best practices to be adopted on all aspects of infrastructure computers storage network end points etc
6. Supports the management in negotiating and deciding on underpinning contracts with external vendors and ensures they support the committed service level objectives with respect to infrastructure requirements
7. Makes decisions and recommendations on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project infrastructure components Supports internal and external infrastructure teams and initiatives to deliver against the action plans 

Key Result Responsibilities-Continued

1. Collaborates with the Network team to ensure readiness of network connectivity prior to releasing the service for UAT testing
2. Works closely with the Service Desk team to ensure UAT testing is successfully carried as per agreed standards and applications are ready to go live
3. Leads the deployment of applications to end users ensuring all requirements and agreed measures are considered and applied
4. Ensures that all requests for support and incidents related to infrastructure are dealt with according to agreed standards and procedures

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering Information Technology Computer Science or equivalent
• ITIL Certified
• MCP CCNP OIA AW RHCE Certification
• Strong knowledge in IaaS PaaS and SaaS based set ups to manage vendors and service providers to deliver these
• Fluent in English Language

Work Experience

1. Employs technical expertise and interpersonal relations to achieve companys objectives
2. Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. 2 years in building cloud architecture in Azure, AWS or multi cloud environment
5. 2 years in working with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code languages Automation and Pipeline processes
6. 2 years of working in DevOps projects in Cloud and OnPrem environments with multiple project teams and stakeholders
7. General understanding of microservices Docker Kubernetes
8. General understanding of OnPrem and Cloud infrastructure flow
9. General understanding of Networking, Firewalls NAT VPN DNS Load Balancer
