Senior Data Analytics Engineer

Job Purpose

As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you will be a key player in advancing the organization's data analytics capabilities. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will lead and contribute to the design, development, and execution of complex analytics solutions.

This role demands advanced proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. As a senior member of the team, you will guide and mentor junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Result Responsibilities

1. Advanced Data Analysis:Lead and conduct sophisticated data analysis, applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
2. Provide subject matter expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
3. Data Visualization Leadership:Architect and design comprehensive and visually compelling dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
4. Mentor junior team members in best practices for data visualization and presentation.
5. Solution Architecture:Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement robust data pipelines and architectures.
6. Provide architectural guidance for scalable and efficient data processing.
7. Strategic Decision Support:Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and objectives, translating them into data analytics initiatives.
8. Offer strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
9. Mentorship and Leadership Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the data analytics team.

11. Quality Assurance:Lead efforts to ensure data quality and integrity, implementing processes for data validation and cleansing.

Work Experience

• Design and create visually appealing and informative dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights.
• Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• This individual should possess a strong background in data engineering, data analytics, and deep expertise in the airline industry.
• Data Engineering Skills: Proficiency in data modeling tools (any ETL tool) and flow design (SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Qlik).
• Analytical Aptitude: Strong quantitative skills, logical reasoning, and a solid understanding of statistics.
• Airline Industry Knowledge: A candidate with a broad domain knowledge spanning the airline industry.
• Coding Language: Familiarity with Python (basic).
