Associate Product Manager

Job Purpose

Tech Product Owner plays a critical role in the development and delivery of our company's digital products and services. Acting as the liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, the Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, communicating requirements, and ensuring the successful execution of product initiatives.

Key Result Responsibilities

1. Product Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Clearly articulate product goals, priorities, and success metrics to align the development team and drive product innovation.
2. Product Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects business priorities, user needs, and technical constraints. Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
3. Requirement Elicitation: Gather and analyze business requirements, user feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable requirements for the development team.
4. Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning sessions to prioritize and select user stories for development. Collaborate with the development team to clarify requirements, estimate effort, and define sprint goals and deliverables.
5. Agile Development: Embrace Agile principles and practices to facilitate iterative development and continuous improvement. Work closely with Scrum Masters, developers, and QA engineers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality product increments.
6. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks. Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and the development team to ensure alignment and transparency.
7. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively. Anticipate potential challenges and work with stakeholders to develop contingency plans and alternative solutions.
8. Product Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA engineers to define test cases, review test results, and ensure the quality and stability of product releases. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to validate product features and improvements.
9. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, conducting retrospectives, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.
10. Technical Knowledge Transfer: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development. Share technical knowledge and expertise with the team to foster learning and professional growth.
11. Qualifications:
12. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
13. 3-5 years of experience in product management, software development, or related roles.
14. Proven track record of successfully leading Agile software development teams and delivering high-quality digital products.
15. Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development methodologies, architecture, and technologies.
16. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
17. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
18. Experience with Agile development tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana) and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
19. Certification in Agile/Scrum (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is desirable.
20. Experience in industries such as software-as-a-service (SaaS), e-commerce, or fintech is a plus
