Job Title:  Analyst - Control Tower (PUNE)

Reports To: Logistics Control Tower Manager

Department: E-Commerce

Job Purpose:

Responsible for monitoring, analysing, and optimizing logistics operations using real-time data, ensuring efficient goods movement, improved supply chain visibility, and high service standards while supporting decision-making and mitigating disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring and Tracking

• Oversee real-time shipment tracking to ensure on-time delivery across all supply chain stages, from origin to final destination. 
• Proactively identify delays or disruptions and initiate timely responses to minimize service impact. 
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transit times, lead times, costs, and on-time delivery rates to support continuous improvement. 

2. Data Analysis and Reporting

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization. 
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance insights for key stakeholders. 
• Deliver actionable recommendations to drive cost reductions, service enhancements, and operational efficiency. 

3. Issue Resolution

• Act as the primary contact for managing exceptions, escalating issues when necessary. 
• Collaborate with internal teams and external logistics partners to investigate and resolve disruptions. 
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues and enhance service reliability. 

4. Process Improvement

• Identify and address inefficiencies in logistics processes within the control tower framework. 
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements for end-to-end logistics optimization. 
• Conduct root cause analyses to recommend and execute sustainable solutions. 

5. Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies across all logistics activities. 
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of processes, exceptions, and resolution protocols. 

Operational excellence:

• Establish best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational performance and consistency. 
• Continuously monitor and refine processes to achieve superior efficiency, reliability, and scalability. 
• Drive a culture of excellence by fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation across teams and partners.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related fields.
• Previous experience in a control tower environment or a logistics analyst role preferred.
• Experience with ERP, TMS, and WMS systems; knowledge of integration with 3PLs and last-mile delivery systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
