Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our corporate travel department by ensuring timely & cost-effective delivery of travel services with exceptional customer service. Your role will involve managing a team of travel consultants, liaising with suppliers, and collaborating closely with clients to meet their travel requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  1. Booking Oversight: Oversee the booking processes for flights, hotels, car rentals, and visas, ensuring that all bookings adhere to company policies and meet client travel requirements.

 

  1. Itinerary Optimization: Ensure travel itineraries are optimized for cost-efficiency, time management, and alignment with client preferences.

 

  1. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers to negotiate the best possible rates and services.

 

  1. Accuracy Control: Monitor and ensure the accuracy of travel bookings, invoicing, and other travel-related documentation to minimize errors and enhance operational transparency.

 

  1. Client Relations: Address client inquiries, concerns, and escalations with a focus on providing swift, professional resolutions, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

 

 

  1. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, travel technology advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure the department remains competitive and compliant. 

 

  1. Team Leadership: Manage and lead the corporate travel operations team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

 

Operational Management:

 

  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, ensuring all processes are aligned with business objectives and quality standards.
  • Ensure operational excellence by implementing best practices in sales & distribution processes, reporting, and sales team management.

Management Reporting:

 

  • Provide regular reports on travel costs, savings, and key performance metrics to senior management, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Present data-driven recommendations to drive business improvements and maximize revenue opportunities.

Personal Qualities:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of GDS systems (e.g., Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Passion for Travel.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Travel Management or related field.
  • Master’s degree is desirable.
  • IATA certification is mandatory.

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in the travel industry within the region.
  • Minimum 5 years in corporate travel management or operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage operational processes that enhance efficiency and performance.
