Job Purpose:

 

Responsible for driving growth and expanding market share in the express courier sector by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue streams through effective sales and business development strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Business Development and Sales:
  • Formulate and execute business development strategies tailored to the express courier sector. 
  • Expand the client base in the UAE by targeting corporate accounts, e-commerce businesses, and SMEs. 
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation to contract closure. 
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure a consistent inflow of high-potential clients. 

 

  1. Strategic Account Management:
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding client logistics needs and offering customized solutions. 
  • Conduct periodic client reviews to identify additional needs and service improvement opportunities. 
  • Address client issues proactively, ensuring satisfaction and retention. 

 

  1. Market Expansion and Partnerships:
  • Forge alliances with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and businesses requiring express courier services. 
  • Explore partnerships with last-mile delivery providers to expand operational reach. 
  • Negotiate with third-party service providers to enhance the company’s value proposition. 

 

  1. Data-Driven Strategy Development:
  • Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitor strategies to optimize business development approaches. 
  • Develop detailed market segmentation profiles to target high-potential customer groups. 
  • Present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities. 

 

  1. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns that promote courier services. 
  • Share client feedback with product development teams to drive service enhancements. 

 

  1. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Track KPIs such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention rates. 
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance updates, aligning strategies with market dynamics. 
  • Adjust tactics based on data insights to achieve sustained growth and operational efficiency. 

Operational excellence:

  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery for new and existing clients. 
  • Champion process improvements to ensure efficient service delivery, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Implement operational best practices to enhance turnaround times and service reliability. 
  • Monitor service quality metrics and initiate corrective actions where necessary.

Personal Qualities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in building and sustaining strong client relationships.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of express courier operations, pricing structures, and service models.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the UAE logistics and e-commerce landscape.
  • Established network within corporate and e-commerce sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English & Arabic language.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours as required.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, commerce, marketing, or a related field.
  • Additional certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, Business Administration would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales in Logistics, Courier, or related industries.
  • Previous experience in e-Commerce Industry is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and data analysis.
